Tiny Terror Effects Loop

At the request of a number of good customers, Jule Amps has implemented an effects loop. It is a good addition to both the Vox Night Train and the Orange Tiny Terror, as well as a number of other amps.

This loop is not appropriate for the Orange Amps Dual Terror. It works very well on the Tiny Terror Combo.

Both the pictures on this page can be "clicked on" to make them larger.

This effects loop gives you a SEND and a RETURN jack, and potentiometers for both SEND and for RECEIVE. The potentiometers are both attenuators. They allow you to attenuate the signal level if you find you are overloading either the effects box (possibly a pedal) or the amp on the return path. Best way to start out is to put them full "on" (CW) and then only attenuate if it sounds like you need to do so. The loop makes absolutely no change to the tone of the amp until you or I plug an effects box into the loop.

This is NOT a buffered effects loop. It is a zero-insertion-loss loop. A fully buffered loop like the one in the Sweet Sue gives you more adjustments to accommodate for different effects. Truth is, there is simply not enough room in small footprint amps to install the additonal tube required for buffering.

Again due to the lack of space in the chassis of the Orange Tiny Terror, and the Vox Night Train the effects loop must be installed on the lower right side of the amp. We do what we can to make it as attractive as possible, but it is still "stuff" hanging off the side of your amp.

All that said, it is still a very handy addition. If it works for you, let us know. The cost of the effects loop is $95.
